USA just did not have much ball and the missed tackles killed the USA for the SA tries. USA did not look terrible, but just did not have much in the way of offense as they were always on the back foot.
USA had a great first half with the 21-7 lead, started to unravel a bit in the second half, but a great final play with no time left, as they won the lineout and the immediate tackle and they won the ruck and then spun the ball to Swiryn who was on the wing and he scored the winning try. Great conversion by Malifa for a huge win.
Important game against Georgia up next in about an hour and a half.
If USA beats Georgia, they will play New Zealand in the quarterfinals of the Cup competition. That match will start at 10pm Pacific Time tonight. The good news is that if USA does beat Georgia, they will be guaranteed at least 4 Sevens World Series points for a possible worst finish of a Plate competition semifinal.

What exactly was Gillenwater's injury? Possible 1,000th concussion or something like a knee?
Looked to me like he was simply gassed. Possibly tweaked a hammy, but he looked ok running off.
